Wednesday Member Matches are back! Come on out at 9:00 am, and we’ll divide into teams for a couple of rounds. We’ll engage in several different formats from week to week, including Captain’s Choice, Best Ball, Alternate Shot, Modified Stableford scoring, and anything else we can devise! 2020 Brookside Match Play Championship
The 2020 BP3 Match Play Championship is now complete! Play throughout all three division was stellar, and we appreciate all who participated. Match Play is a fun format, and we’ll have another Match Play Championship in 2021.
Congratulations to Phifer Herrala for capturing the Women’s Division with a 2 UP victory over Carole Hypes! Phifer adds this title to her 2019 Club Championship win.
In the Open Division, Kelly Price defeated Josh Mullen 4&3 in the finals. Kelly played very well throughout the competition, making plenty of birdies and saving par when needed. His win is particularly noteworthy given that Kelly started the 2020 golf season undergoing knee surgery! Congratulations, Kelly, on your well-deserved win!
Jason Perdue edged Tom Chewning in the Senior Division finals 1 UP. The match was a back and forth affair, with neither player taking control, until Jason carded a birdie on #9 to win.
BP3 Crowns 2020 Club Champions!
Congratulations to all our members for playing in the 2020 Club Championship. The competition was compelling, and we’ve crowned champions for 2020!
Women’s Division: Congratulations to Afton Scott for winning the Women’s Club Championship 81-82 over defending champion Phifer Herrala. Afton’s consistent play over her last few holes helped her to victory!
Junior Division: Way to go 12-year old Elena Mullen for winning the Junior Club Championship! Elena has made steady improvement over this last year, and it shows! Elena is definitely a player to watch in the coming years.
Men’s Division: It’s a 3-Peat! Joe Crandall secured his 3rd consecutive Club Championship with a hard-fought score of 54 to outlast Kelly Price at 57. Joe’s ability to score without hitting greens was key to his victory. Well played, Joe!
Elena’s Dad, Josh Mullen, took the Men’s 1st Flight with a score of 58. Kevin Driscoll recorded a 2-round total of 69 to win the Men’s 2nd Flight. Congratulations Josh and Kevin!
